Homemade Pizza

If you have a Trader Joes near by you have to head there and pick up their pre made pizza dough and pizza sauce! So amazing!! I used the whole wheat dough this time and I didn’t hear any complaints from Scott! I loaded my pizza with sausage, green & black olives, artichokes, red pepper, onion and red pepper flakes. AMAZING

Butternut Squash Ravioli

I cooked premade frozen butternut squash ravioli (Got it from the farmers market), chopped pistachios, parmesan and balsamic glaze (bought at Target). So good. My dad was lucky to eat the leftovers and he loved it also.

Movie Night with the Hubby

Two awesome movies came out this week so Scott and I had a movie marathon night and watched both of them! They were both really good.

Flowers

I absolutely love flowers!!!! They are one of my favorite things ever!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I married someone who doesn’t believe in buying flowers. He thinks they are a waste of money 😦 Thankfully I have an amazing friend who sends me flowers! Thank you so much Cara!! I love ya more then you will ever know!!!

Amazing Salad

This is my go to salad. It never gets old and I love it so much. Romaine lettuce, shredded brussel sprouts, diced apple, red pepper, craisins, almonds, turkey and Poppyseed dressing!!! SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite Recipes of the Week 11/23/13

If you guys read my Weekend update you noticed at the bottom of the post I included what I was cooking this week….. so I wanted to let you guys know how my recipes turned out 🙂

The first things I made was not included on the meal plan but it was so good I have to include it…

Sunday evening I made Greek Chicken Burgers and Julie’s Curried Sweet Potato Salad.

These burgers were SPICY but so good!!! I made a traditional greek yogurt sauce (plain greek yogurt, minced garlic, grated cucumber, salt and pepper)

This potato salad was a nice change from traditional potato salad and so delicious!

The next thing I did was made a delicious Healthy Potato Soup on Monday. This turned out SOOOO good!!!

On Wednesday I made orange chicken….. and not going to lie…. it was only okay. I wouldn’t make it again so I’m not even going to share the website…

Lastly I made a wonderful Autumn Chopped Salad.

For the dressing I mixed poppyseed dressing and balsamic vinegar, equal parts, and poured it over the salad! Very good!!!

Weekend Update 11/10/13

This weekend went by really fast…

Friday I started out my day with a wonderful Spin Class. The instructor was sick so there was a sub…. the sub was a good instructor but I really missed our normal instructor. The instructor for Road Rage is amazing… she is so motivating and awesome.

Then friday night I worked..

My meal of choice for last week was this amazing salad

Romaine lettuce, strawberries, carrots, broccoli, bacon bits, almonds, yellow peppers, turkey and poppyseed dressing. SOOOO GOOD!!!

Last week I also got accepted to be a Sweat Pink Ambassador

Saturday morning I went to SkyZone for a trampoline fitness class! Man if you want to try something new take one of the skyrobics classes! So hard. Then Saturday I also worked..

Sunday morning I spent relaxing, I’m coming down with a cold. Then I got lucky and got to be on call for work so I went to a spin class and bodyflow at the gym. I love a good double class! Spin class was intense and bodyflow was super relaxing. It is a mix of tai chi, pilates and yoga. We had the same instructor for both classes which was kind of cool. He was super high energy and crazy during the spin class and then he flipped into the calm instructor for bodyflow.

Here’s a random photo…. Our cat Nermal. This was right after she got shaved because her hair was super matted and tangled.

Today I woke up feeling crappy so I laid in bed. I was lucky to be on call again for work so I have spent the day relaxing. I’m hoping that all the sleep will help me get over this cold quickly because tomorrow I’m going to two workout classes and I have to work.

Sorry for the short post that is lacking in photos! Next time I got to skyzone I will take pics because it is so cool!

Before I get to talking about DietBet a little about this week….

Tuesday evening when I left clinicals I walked outside to some big beautiful snow flakes! I really love the first few snowfalls. Partially because I know it wont stick and also because it is always so pretty.

Maisy really really loves snow. Scott took her outside in the morning and when they came in she whined for about an hour because she just wanted to go back outside. I took her outside and we played fetch in the snow for a long time! She was so tired when we got back inside.

DietBet

DietBet is a website where you can join or start your own game to bet on losing weight. The games are either 4 weeks or 10 weeks. I joined a 4 week game. You’ve got 4 weeks to lose 4% of your starting weight. To begin, everyone puts money into the pot. After four weeks, whoever’s hit their 4% goal is a winner and splits the pot. The bet for my game was $20. No matter what as long as I lose 4% I get my $20 back and hopefully more, it just depends how many people lose 4%. To prevent unhealthy weight loss you cannot lose more then 12% and you cant go below a BMI of 18.5. If anyone would like to join in you still have time!!! The game starts on Friday so go here and sign up!!

My goal is to lose 4-8% in 4 weeks!

Healthy food I’ve been eating in the past couple of days…

I really love this blended greek yogurt…. I have a texture problem with the greek yogurt that doesn’t come pre-blended…. I don’t know why but I like my yogurt super smooth and this blended yogurt is!! I really love the strawberry cheesecake flavor… which of course you can only get at TARGET 🙂

This salad is so good I’ve made it twice and I will be making it again today!!! It has romaine lettuce, strawberries, carrots, yellow pepper, almonds, turkey, bacon bits and poppyseed dressing! So good!!!!

This morning I had this triple protein breakfast bowl. I really wanted to make a breakfast burrito but decided to add extra veggies and get rid of the tortilla 🙂 I included venison bacon (super lean), 2 eggs, broccoli, yellow pepper, red onion, a small sprinkle of cheese and hot sauce. So good!! I will be making this again…. probably tomorrow! I need to buy some egg whites because next time I will do 1 egg and egg whites!
